On Saturday and Sunday 04-05.06.2022 the BHC Lacrosse Junioren competed for the 2022 Deutscher Meister. This again would be the first Deutscher Meister since the start of the pandemic in 2019.

BHC Junioren traveled to Frankfurt with just 3 players having competed in a prior Championship. The boys got off to an amazing start winning their first game on Saturday afternoon 8 to 7 over host SC Frankfurt 1880. This was a hard fought game as BHC took a 3 to 2 lead at the end of the first period. In the second period Frankfurt fought back to tie the game at 5 to 5. The third period was much the same as our boys played hard defense to end the the third again tied at 6 to 6. In the forth period the BHC Boys took the lead but again Frankfurt fought back. Midway through the forth period our BHC Boys would score to make the score 8 to 7. The last 5 minutes would be back and forth with excitement building. The BHC defense delivered the final blow holding SC Frankfurt 1880 scoreless and capturing a spot in the Championship game on Sunday afternoon.

The Boys from BHC would face the larger and more experience team from FKS Willigis Mainz who had beaten the boys from Hamburg earlier on Saturday with a score of 15 to 7. This would be a huge tasked to beat Mainz however our boys in true BHC tradition fought hard. The first period ended with a score of 4 to 2 for Mainz but as the score indicates how our boys fought hard with plenty of heart. As the game went on the bigger and strong Mainz team pulled away on the scoreboard. To the credit of our boys they never gave up even in the last minutes of the game. The final score was 11 to 4.

The BHC Lacrosse U16 Junioren held their heads high in knowing they left everything they could on the field in their second place finish!! Congratulations Boys well done!!
